UV disinfection units are used as the final stage of sewage treatment. They kill bacteria, mold, yeast and viruses.
Design and operating concept
The UV disinfection unit is a tank equipped with UV lamps block. Due to its radiation, the sewage (wastewater) is disinfected. The device is eco-friendly and does not emit hazardous chemicals into the environment.

The tank usually is equipped with a vertical housing. Prior the installation an excavation pit should be arranged - excavation, water level reduction, fixing the tank with stainless steel anchor bolts to the concrete slab to prevent floating up under the groundwater pressure. In the case of high groundwaters and weak soil, a concrete ring should be cast around the bottom of the well. The tank is equipped with an inspection well and ladder for easy maintenance. At customer request, the unit can be completed with a radiation measurement sensor, which will provide control of UV lamps operation and will inform if they need to be replaced.
